Applications:
199R-1A - Used for a wide range of products and operations such as edge sewing, patch sewing, attaching and abbutting work, applique work and binding on such materials as leather, vinyl, canvas, cloth, lace and similar materials.
199R-2A - Three step/two stitch zig-zag. Federal Stitch 308.
For sewing elastic and other such materials, as well as for ornamental stitching.
For stitching such products as boat and truck covers, tents, awnings, sails, parachutes, tarpaulins, canvas bags also many items of military and naval equipment.
Used on such materials as canvas, nylon, vinyl, leather, synthetics and similar materials.
Especially desireable where reinforced stitching is necessary.
Also available with special fittings for rope tacking operations.
Used for rope tacking, making loops in rope and attaching small and medium size ropes to such products as truck covers, tents, sails, hammocks, parachutes, grain bags and many items of military and naval equipment.
199R-3A - Four step/three stitch zig-zag
Performs similar operations as Model 199R-2A with the added advantage of making an additional stitch for extra reinforcement.
199R-22 - Two needle zig-zag with one bottom thread. Federal Stitch 305
Used for air tucking, cording, and decorative stitching.
For stitching such products as skirts, blouses, millinery and similar products as well as awnings, soft luggage, canvas bags and similar articles.
Features:
Horizontal axis transverse rotary hook.
Maximum width of zig-zag : 3/8" (9.5mm).
Straight stitcher when zig-zag is set to "0"mm.
Long arm with 10" free space between needle and arm (all 18 7/8" bed models)
Locking zig-zag width regulator.
Reverse stitching.
Special fittings available on Model 199R-2A for rope end and rope loop stitching.
Model 199RB with large bobbin and horizontal axis transverse rotary hook
Model 199RBL Long Arm (20 1/2" free space between needle and arm) with large bobbin and horizontal axis transverse rotary hook.
Models 199RB and 199RBL available in the same sub-class varieties as is standard bed size Model 199R.
